Malecon beach!

Malecon beach is a phenomenal place to enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean and the beautiful city.

Puerto Plata residents proudly declare that theirs is the most beautiful beachfront boulevard in the Dominican Republic. And you will understand it when you see the many white sand beaches that line the main avenue of the city, each one with its name. Apart from the beach days in the city center, the long and shady sidewalk of the boulevard is ideal for morning or evening walks, the sunrises here are spectacular.

Malecon beach is 3 km long, it begins at the top of the San Felipe Fortress, up to the Colón spa (Long Beach). Its avenue is named after General Gregorio Luperón. It is an excellent place for recreation and exercise.

On your way you can enjoy a magnificent panorama of the Atlantic Ocean; its rocks, reefs, sand and its ionized air, as well as its vegetation: almond, grape, coconut trees. Also the statues of Neptune, David and that of the First sword of the Restoration, General Gregorio Luperón.

You can also make a stop at one of the various bars and restaurants that line the Malecón, or take a bike ride along the bike path. Enjoy the breeze, have a drink at sunset, or exercise by walking along the Malecon to Long Beach. Numerous events are held throughout the year along the boulevard, including the Puerto Plata Carnival.

From its route you can enjoy a spectacular panorama of the Atlantic Ocean, followed by its rocks, reefs, sand and its ionized air, as well as its vegetation. Likewise, you can delight yourself looking at the almond trees, the beach grape bushes and the coconut trees or contemplate the statues of Neptune, David and that of General Gregorio Luperón, Primera Espada

In the three kilometers of boardwalk you can run into a large number of tourists of different nationalities, who leave the all-inclusive hotel complexes where they are staying to give themselves the best life.
