Damajagua Falls is in Puerto Plata, is undoubtedly one of the best tourist places in the Dominican Republic. One of its tourist attractions that confirm it are the 27 waterfalls of Damajagua, better known as “27 puddles of Damajagua”. These are 27 or 28 small waterfalls with their puddles with about 7 meters deep crystalline water, relaxing and refreshing.
The entertainment of this tourist attraction consists of climbing each one of these waterfalls until arriving at number 27 and then returning nailed in each puddle.
For this attraction there is a group of guides trained to make this journey. It is located 10 kilometers from Puerto Plata, belongs to the municipality Imbert that belongs to Puerto Plata.
Surprisingly, the first tourists arrived at the Charcos de Damajagua in 1994, which means that the area was a hidden treasure, a secret that Dominicans had in store for our visitors and that a few years ago began to be discovered by tourists.

This natural monument of the Damajagua River is made up of 27 waterfalls of various sizes. The association of lifeguards of the Damajagua river coordinates the descent of the 27 puddles with vests and helmets, offering the visitor adventure and safety.
