Fricolandia is in the El Castillo community, in La Isabela (yes, the first city in the New World), Puerto Plata. It is an hour and a half from the center of the province, taking the Puerto Plata-Navarrete highway, turn into Imbert, pass through Luperón and when you reach the area where the Villa Isabela archaeological park is, turn right, until a point where a white wall and a seahorse give you the signal that you have reached Fricolandia.
In its regular operation, the restaurant opens from Monday to Sunday, from 9:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night. The cover is RD $ 700, if you decide to bring your food, but including lunch it is RD $ 1,100 per person. This includes water and coffee and they have drinks for sale at the bar. Lunch is buffet style and it is the owner’s mother herself who puts the touch of seasoning, and what seasoning! They also have a barbecue area that customers can use with prior reservation.
The place has several terraces and four bungalows or gazebos by the sea, from where clients have access to a beach with very gentle waves, suitable for family enjoyment. Between the four gazebos they have capacity for about 160 people.
Every year in July, they celebrate a great party, Frico’s birthday, which has already become the “Frico Beach party and Food Trucks Festival”, with the participation of live artists, food and drink trucks from different parts of the world. country, jet ski, boats and lots of fun.
Fricolandia officially bears that name for two years and is a restaurant bar, on the shores of a stretch of beach on the Atlantic Ocean, with a paradisiacal view of vegetation and mountains and the attentions of a family that makes you feel at home.
