Sosúa

Sosua is a municipality of the Dominican Republic that is located in the province of Puerto Plata, this municipality is located between the city of Puerto Plata and Cabarete, approximately 15 kilometers from Gregorio Luperon International Airport, Sosua was founded by dictator Leonidas Trujillo to give shelter to one 500 Jews in 1938 who introduced the country’s dairy and meat industry, these are still one of the most important economic engines of the country. It has an area of 276.89 square kilometers and a population of approximately 60,000 people.
