Dominican Republic wins Fitur 2022, the award was received as the best stand on January 21 at the 2022 International Tourism Fair that takes place in Madrid, Spain, and the country rises in recognition for its attractions and proposals for investors and the quality of its products.
The award was received by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, from the director of the International Tourism Fair, María Valcarce, where they reached good agreements that contribute to the two nations.
The distinction recognizes the outstanding participation of the Dominican Republic in the 42nd edition of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur), of which the country was a member on this occasion, due to the leadership it has in this sector throughout the region.
Fitur was held on January 19, 2022 in Madrid, the Spanish capital with representatives from 107 countries and more than 7,000 participating companies where very important links could be created for the economy of the Dominican Republic.
The Dominican Republic aspires to increase the arrival of tourists to more than 10 million annually and is confident that the strategies presented at events such as Fitur will help achieve that goal and there is no doubt that the great strategic agreements that could be made will have a great impact. .
The president of the Dominican Republic, Luis Rodolfo Abinader Corona, and several officials from his cabinet attended the event, in which several agreements were closed that will have a great impact on the tourism sector.
